Author Biography

Boniface G. Fernandes is former Chief Planner, Govt. of India. He was urban planning expert with the United Nations, Technical Assistance Program in Saudi Arabia. He was a Member of the National Planning Commission's 'Metropolitan Transport Team' in the late sixties, and a Member of the National Commission on Urbanisation in mid-eighties.
