by Christina Strakes Phd (Author)
Dr. Strakes believes that far too many self-help books are reduced to such an elementary level they offer little or no help to the more educated and introspective reader. Refusing to pander to pop-psychology's 'quick fix' mentality, Dr. Strakes compiles her own observations along with the wisest and most insightful thinking of some of the world's highest honored and renowned psychologists. Until now, their collective wisdom has never been brought together in any single literary work for the average self-help reader. In warm conversational and captivating prose, Emotional Survival examines the emotional wounds that result in loss of hope, lack of trust, pervasive feelings of loneliness, and most importantly of all, inability to love or be loved. In short, it is a book written for those who have been hurt by love and life. "Inspiring and groundbreaking." New York Times best-selling author, Ellen Tanner Marsh.
