Author Biography
Echoes of Your Choices is Sharon Dillon's first book, hopefully to be followed by more. Over the years Sharon has been a reporter for several newspapers and magazines in both Wisconsin and Virginia. Writing on a deadline helped her quickly hone her skills. Now she writes to share what she has learned about living. Life, she believes, must be fun as well as serious, and spiritual as well as practical. Through her blog of many years, "Thoughts to Ponder," Sharon shows that a wide angle lens is a must when viewing the world and the people who inhabit it. Sharon has loved books since the first time her mother read her a story. Always providing her new subjects for learning and personal growth, books have been a staple of her life, bringing comfort, joy, shivers of fear and a full range of emotions. She grew up in Ohio and has lived in many states, finally settling in Virginia after retiring from 25 years' employment with the State of Wisconsin. She now works part-time jobs that are fun at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation. Meeting new people daily provides her ideas for writing projects and expands her world view. Sharon's writings are always about joy, peace, and laughter. The most joyous times of Sharon's life are her individual play dates with four great-grandsons. She eagerly anticipates the birth of great-grandson number five. She is most proud of the wonderful adults her children have become. Her second most cherished achievement is having graduated from Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI, at the age of 47. Sharon D.
