Author Biography
La Keisha was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and has attended church her entire life. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of five and has been active in ministry ever since. Over the years she has sang on the choir, danced with the dance ministry and served o the usher board. It was during her teenage years in ministry that LaKeisha first discovered her interest in creative writing penning short plays for the youth ministry to perform during special occasions. During her college years while studying Psychology at Rutgers University, what seemed like the never ending process of writing research papers help to cultivate LaKeisha's writing abilities. However it was not until after college that she realized her passion for writing. Now after ten years of writing and reviewing technical documents in the pharmaceutical industry, she has realized her love of writing is part of her divine purpose. For LaKeisha writing is not just about creating a book it is about building a ministry to nurture the next generation of young women. As a mother, sister and god mother of young women she realizes seeks to address the disconnect between societal norms and God's divine order.
