Author Biography
Lindsey Martin-Bowen's "Bonsai Tree Gone Awry" from Inside Virgil's Garage (Chatter House 2013) was nominated for a Pushcart. The book was also a runner-up in the 2015 KAC Nelson Poetry Book Award. Her first collection, Standing on the Edge of the World (Woodley Press), was named one of the 2008 Top 10 Poetry Books. Her work has run in New Letters, I-70 Review, Coal City Review, Flint Hills Review, Thorny Locust, Bare Root Review, Little Balkans Review, and others. She teaches at MCC-Longview and taught at UMKC 18 years. Previously, she was a full-time reporter (THE LOUISVILLE TIME in Colorado, The Johnson County SUN) and magazine editor (MODERN JEWELER Magazine, THE NATIONAL PARALEGAL REPORTER). She holds MA and Juris Doctor degrees.
