Author Biography
Henry O, along with his wife Sue, were part of a group of pioneering young Black men and women that integrated Arlington State College (ASC), now The University of Texas at Arlington, in the fall of 1963. He spent three years and three summers at ASC as a Music major in a two year program. He then joined the Army to attend the Armed Forces School of Music. After a three year career as a Military musician he returned to College to earn a Bachelor's degree. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Dallas Baptist College, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Texas. He received his Certification as a Family Development Specialist from the University of Iowa. His wife received her BS from Texas Woman's University and a MPA from Southern Methodist University. They have three children, all College graduates. One is a Lawyer, one a Communications Specialist and one a Writer. The last child graduated from College in 2005.
