Choosing Barabbas, When We Replace the Real Jesus With the One We Prefer - Hardcover

by Chris Harris (Author)

Returning to Pilate's courtyard and the image of an open prison door, this eloquent meditation explores the ancient, recurring impulse to choose a comforting counterfeit over the Christ of Scripture. Through the haunting exchange of the guilty man released while the Innocent bears his place, it probes guilt, grace, sacrifice, disappointment, and redemption with pastoral honesty and vivid spiritual insight. Both mirror and summons, it asks readers whose voice they follow, exposes the ease of trading truth for ritual and conviction for comfort, and invites them to leave self-made illusions behind, step into the light, and meet the living Savior who still calls and frees.
