Author Biography
Mr. Savio's career in the financial services industry began in 1970 as a securities regulator with what is now known as FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.) In 1978, he became a financial adviser and earned his CFP (Certified Financial Planner designation) from the College for Financial Planning in 1982. He is a member of Financial Planning Association, the Financial Services Institute and serves as a dispute arbitrator for FINRA. Mr. Savio is a 1967 graduate of Villanova University where he earned a degree in accounting and economics. He is a US Army veteran having served in Viet Nam in 1968 and 1969. Throughout his career as a financial adviser Mr. Savio has emphasized education as a key to financial success. He did this by hosting local radio and TV financial programs and by conducting adult education classes to teach basic financial planning and investing knowledge.
