Author Biography
Dan Moore is the founder and CEO of The APEX museum in Atlanta, GA. Moore, a Philadelphia filmmaker, is also producer of a number of films and TV productions. His productions include Gayle Sayers: Instant Replay, with cameo of Bill Cosby; Sweet Auburn: Street of Pride, narrated by Cicely Tyson and Julian Bond and a documentary on Liberia, West Africa. Moore is directing the expansion of The APEX into a 90,000 square foot facility with a walk through history from ancient Africa to the present election of Barack Obama, first Black president of the United States of America. Ms. Michele Mitchell is the Gallery coordinator and chief researcher for The APEX. Inspired by the late Dr. Asa Hilliard, she has compiled information on ancient African civilizations for the current exhibition, Africa: The Untold Story. Michele is co-authoring with Dan Moore a documentary, DVD and interactive computer game on Black Inventors.
