Beaufort is a paint-a unique black and white horse. It never occurred to Beaufort that he was different, but when he started a new life with a new owner, 8-year old Sally, everything changed.


Beaufort used to be a ranch horse, but with his new job across the country, he noticed he didn't look like the other horses, and they were not very welcoming. But when a young rider was in trouble, Beaufort was the only horse brave enough to save the day.


Beaufort is real, too. He lives on a small farm in Maryland, and while he does look different than the other horses, he is fitting in quite nicely.
