Beatrice is a young, energetic and curious beaver who begins her day attempting to play with the other Blackwater Bayou animal children. As sometimes happens with young children, the play and laughter turn into teasing when Beatrice cannot catch tiny worms with her large yellow teeth like the frisky baby bream.
