Author Biography
Alice A Hoffman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and thought her family was poor, despite living in a beautiful older neighborhood with big houses and big yards. She originally wanted to be either a veterinarian or a monkey, but gave up on those to pursue her dream of finding a job that would make her happy. After 52 different jobs and businesses, she finally realized that it wasn't the job that would make her happy. It was her attitude. Alice wrote her first published book, An Intimate Conversation with my Younger Self, to share her journey and the lessons that she learned along the way. Her hope is that others can learn from her mistakes and avoid some of the pitfalls that led her down a lonely and unfulfilling path. Taking these lessons to heart, she now enjoys a rewarding and happy life. Alice lives in Austin, Texas, where the sun shines almost every day and she enjoys walks with her dogs in the woods. She also lives with her cat, Chela. Alice is currently training for a cross country bicycle ride to recognize and honor LGBT Veterans. You can find more information at www.restorehonorride.org.
