by Monty Cartwright (Author)
At age 58, Monty Cartwright was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Mantel Cell Lymphoma. During his forty-year career as an athletic coach and health educator, he had learned much about the importance of attitude and being a competitive athlete. In this book, Monty Cartwright shares the proactive mental and physical approach of the Athletic Mind Attitude (AMA) in dealing with the challenges of adversity, illness, and aging. AMA is a positive philosophical mind set that adopts sport principles, routines, and rituals to one's lifestyle. "Aging, Health, and the Athletic Mind Attitude - A Game Plan for Aging and Health Challenges" is a common-sense resource about effort, choice, and being an active player and not a passive fan. A survey taken of competitive senior athletes and their wise words are included in this life-changing book.
