Rather than simple black and white lineart, these images contain all the values ranging from black to white. Marker works well with this type of coloring as does colored pencil. Gel pens might be a bit too opaque to allow the shading to come through so it might be best to limit gel pen use to highlights and accents. Please put a piece of thick paper such as card stock between the pages to prevent any bleedthrough if you use markers. This coloring book is not suitable for wet media, such as watercolor. Feel free to cut the pages out and copy them onto watercolor paper or heavier paper if your printer allows (always check first ).
