Author Biography

Jon has served the Lord as a missionary to the Philippines, as pastor in California, and as a missionary-pastor to congregations in remote "bush" Alaska, among the Aleut people of King Cove, and the Yup'ik people of Scammon Bay. When symptoms of what was first thought to be Lou Gehrig's disease began to manifest in 2007, those symptoms forced Jon and his family to have to leave their beloved Yup'ik brothers and sisters in Scammon Bay for the lower 48 states. Jon continues to serve the Lord despite his ailments. The congregation of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama has since called him to be their pastor. Jon has humbly answered the Lord's call and has been ministering in Alabama since January 2009.
