This is a novel in the style of Kenneth Patchen's Journal Of Albion Moonlight. I think he would be surprised to learn that. They are each about yearning, and love, although he's better at sex. Mine is a series of moments in which a middle manager finds himself reallocated to the life of a private eye and is as surprised about that as it is unlikely. He's not missed by his office, and in the end waits in a lawn chair on the deck of a submarine which has surfaced, to be swept away by his client who has arrived in a rocket ship. A very big rocket ship called The Bar in the Deep Blue Sea. I think Mr. Patchen's effort is more believable. But, I was sorry when both of them came to an end.
