Author Biography

Dr. Jonathan I. Shaw Sr. is the senior pastor of Crown Ministries International Inc., whose foundation in ministry began at the age of 16. The Lord has entrusted this chosen man of God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the United States and internationally. Dr. Shaw's testimony has been both heard and felt on radio, television, and off-Broadway shows. The Lord progressively challenged Dr. Shaw to build Him a sanctuary that He may dwell among His people, and in July 2002, he introduced Crown Ministries International to the world. Two months later, Pastor Shaw led a growing congregation into their new edifice in the heart of Canarsie, Brooklyn. Under his tutelage, the ministry has grown to greater heights and is currently worshipping in a 19,000 square feet worship facility in East New York. In June 2011, Pastor Shaw launched Crown Ministries of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He now pastors one church with 2 locations. From the onset of his divine assignment, this great philanthropist has created many community outreach services and programs including Horn of Plenty, which to date has fed and clothed nearly 100,000 people. Dr. Shaw is compassionate about the communities God has assigned him to and therefore serves as the Clergy Liaison for the 69th Precinct of the New York City Police Department; a NYC Chaplain; an active member of the NAACP Brooklyn branch; and a board member of the Department of Youth & Community Development #18 in Canarsie. As a businessman he is the CEO and founder of Crown Advancement Center, a non-for-profit corporation, which helps individuals advance through adversity. Dr. Shaw has also created a bookkeeping firm called Emerging Church Group. This company exists to help churches to grow healthy. In 2008, Dr. Shaw received a dual doctorate degree in ministry and divinity from St. Thomas Christian College of Jacksonville, FL & Anointed By God Seminary of Brooklyn, NY. He has authored a booklet to the body of Christ entitled "I'm Not Your Enemy". He is the blessed husband of gospel singer, Co-Pastor Sabrina Shaw. Together they lead Crown Ministries into new realms of the Spirit. When their ministries combine it causes a spiritual explosion. He is also the pleased father of Alonzo, Shauntae and Jonathan Jr. Pastor Shaw strongly believes that the tool that will transform the world is preaching the truth of the Gospel in Love from the church. In turn, the church will lead the nations back to God.
