by Traver Boehm (Author)
Join Traver Boehm as he embarks on a profound 28-day initiation into darkness, a journey that forever alters his perception of self and the world around him. Through his lens, you will learn how to embrace darkness, break free from suffering, find hope, and reclaim your life.
In 2016, Traver Boehm voluntarily spent 28 straight days in a pitch-black room, utterly alone, embarking on an inward journey that forever altered his perception of darkness. For four weeks, he couldn't see his hand an inch from his face-voluntarily. In 28 Days in Darkness, he recounts this harrowing experience, delving deep into his inner darkness and suffering and then emerging back into the world with profound insights. But this book isn't just about Boehm's dark journey; it's an invitation for you to explore your own darkness and uncover the gems hidden deep in the cave of your wounds. And you don't have to sacrifice a month of your life to find them as he did. This book serves to answer two fundamental questions:- How do you navigate life when everything falls apart?
- What truths can only be discovered in the midst and aftermath of crisis?
Author Biography
Traver Boehm is the founder of The UNcivilized Men's Movement and the UNcivilized Nation. He is the author of Today I Rise, and Man UNcivilized as well as a two-time TEDx speaker, men's coach, and host of The UNcivilized Podcast.
Traver's personal mission and the mission of The UNcivilized Movement is to end the unnecessary suffering in men, to end the suffering caused by men -- all by metaphorically punching men in their hearts and waking them up. Drawing upon an eclectic background ranging from Professional Bodyguarding and Mixed Martial Arts to Traditional Chinese Medicine and meditation, Traver also teaches both men and women to skillfully use the inevitable pain of their lives as fuel for growth and positive change. With a passion for people and a unique lens through which to view the human experience, Traver is a highly sought after speaker teacher in the fields of consciousness, relationship, and personal development. When not leading workshops or radically shifting the way men experience their masculinity, Traver can be found obsessing over a single word in front of his laptop, chasing surf around the globe, and being awful at yoga.
