by Theodore Arthur Pinnock (Author), Sharon Riguer (Other), James Lee (Editor)
This book is a must-read for any person with a disability starting a business or running a business. Dr. Pinnock gives a step-by-step guide with a disability perspective. He gives numerous examples of leaders with disabilities from 3000 years ago to now. The book explains the two types of disability entrepreneurs: Claudian and Zhuian. Any person seeking self-employment from any government must read this book. The book introduces DIC-U-AM traits which all disability entrepreneurs share. Dr. Pinnock was born with cerebral palsy in 1962 to a poor Black family in Hartford, Connecticut. On August 15, 1985, the airplane touched down in San Diego with Pinnock on it. On August 3, 1991, he started a sole proprietorship law firm. On September 21, 2012, he was disbarred. In 2011 he started a legal assistant business with his second wife. In 2015 he started a disability corporation. He learned the 40 Laws in this book by failing. In the 1980s there were no tools or books for entrepreneurs with disabilities except for the Self-Employment for Disabled People - Experiences from Africa and Asia (ILO, 1989) training book published by International Labor Office Geneva.
