Need ideas to begin your classes? 101 Fun Games, Activities, and Projects for English Classes, vol. 1: Breaking the Ice is a great resource for English teachers who want to start their classes with fun, learner-centered activities. This volume contains 19 short, fun activities and games that can be used to break the ice. That is, teachers can use games and activities in this volume to warm students up, to wake them up, and to get them circulating. Some of these activities and games may seem like party mixers, but they have been used in several classes to introduce a lesson or concept, or simply to give everyone a chance to get to know everyone else in class. Incidentally, they can also be great icebreakers for parties, workshops, and other gatherings.
