Congratulations! You are going to be a dad. If this is your first child, or if you are preparing to welcome another child into your fold, you already know that being a father is one of life's greatest gifts and responsibilities. This simple book invites you to pause weekly in prayer and focus your attention on the miraculous unfolding before you. Scripture tells us, "Seek ye first, the Kingdom of God" (Matt 6:13 KJV). These pages prepare your heart and mind to seek and discover God right in your home and heart.
Back Jacket
Finally, a week by-week Catholic guide for expecting dads. During pregnancy, as a mom and baby experience their own transformation, A Dad is Born: A Week-by-Week Guide Preparing Your Heart, Mind, & Soul for Fatherhood, invites soon-to-be-fathers to explore a spiritual conversion of the heart. Each week presents dad with an opportunity to reflect on scripture, a short meditation, and directed prayers related to the growth of their child in mom's womb. Topics also focus on the soon-to-be dad's vocation, their own mother and father figures, their relationship with God and with the larger world. At the conclusion of each week, dad is invited to write a short "love note" to capture their thoughts and prayers up until their child is born.
